Certainty Home Inspections is a multi inspector firm & has been in business for 5 years.

Licensing of home inspectors only sets a minimum standard. Much like being up to code, any less would be illegal. That’s why William Troutman,Cory & Aaron continue their work as members of the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI).

Our inspectors Are:

Willy William Troutman- Owner of Certainty Home Inspections- William has been involved in some aspect of construction most of his life. William was a Human Resource Manager for 7 years. He managed over 10 rental properties and remodeled over 40 homes. He has actively been a home inspector for 5 years and enjoys working with people. He is a member of the First Christian Church in Borden Indiana. He has been married for 25 years and is a father of three. Together, him and his wife Sherri, run their business as a true team. He enjoys spending time with his family,playing music with his brother in his free time and motorcycle riding with his wife on the weekends.

Cory Cory Kern- Cory has worked in the construction field for most of his life and has been an inspector with Certainty for over two years. He is a newlywed who loves spending time with his wife, Malerie and enjoys hunting in his free time. He is an active member of the Scottsburg First Southern Baptist Church where he enjoys helping others. His wife is a member of the choir & has a beautiful voice and is also a hair stylist in Scottsburg. They would both like to invite you to come visit their church on Sundays, located in Scottsburg Indiana.

Aaron Aaron Morgan- We would like to welcome Aaron as the newest member of our team. He has previously worked with William for over 15 years as a production supervisor at a major manufacturing plant. He has been involved in construction for many years and built his own home. He has been married for 15 years to Tracy and has two wonderful kids. He enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and is his son’s cub scout leader.

As A NACHI member:

Pass NACHI’s online Inspection Examination every year. This general, not-association-specific exam is an industry standard required by NACHI and some state licensing boards.

Adhere to the industry’s largest, most comprehensive standards of practice

Abide by NACHI’s code of ethics

Follow a strict continuing education policy that requires, among other things, that I receive 24 hours of continuing education each year

Have completed NACHI’s ethics “obstacle course” which ensures that

I am aware of my ethical duties as a home inspector

Submit a portion of my inspection reports to NACHI’s report review committee for outside evaluation

Am required to successfully complete NACHI’s comprehensive roofing course and examination

Attend at least one chapter meeting or educational seminar every two years

Have access to a number of learning tools such as inspection tips and technique illustrations, a library of home inspection books and videos, the industry’s largest message board, NACHI’s “what’s new” a publication of recent inspection news, “Dear NACHI,” a detailed advice column, free online courses, quizzes, and examinations, and the NACHI University

Have access to a free report review and mentoring service

Provide access to a free consumer hot-line

I have over 140 hours of continuing education & training

I utilize state of the art instruments for testing: Combustible gas leaks, Carbon Monoxide, Electrical receptacles, Moisture content, Temperature, Humidity, Air quality and Mold sampling.

I’m an active member of the National Environmental Health Association and have been certified as a professional radon gas technician

I’m an active member of the Environmental Solutions Association and have been certified as a professional mold inspector for both the identification of possible areas of concern and sample collecting including air born spores.

I’m an active member of Pro-Lab Partners an environmental microbiology accredited laboratory performing Air & Water quality, Lead, Asbestos, Radon & Mold, analysis.
